First, go to the preferences by hitting Shift+Ctrl+S keys.

Add a new email account and click Forward to continue.

Enter the name as you like to appear in “From” field of your Outgoing messages and enter your Streamyx email address that you want to use as well.

Select POP from the drop down menu as the type of the Incoming Mail Server. Fill the Server field with pop.streamyx.com. I believe the UserName is the most confusing part. You must fill the Username with your email address. Otherwise it will not work. The Authentication Type is Password. You may also want to check the Remember Password.

Set the time you want the Evolution to check for a new emails.

Select SMTP from the drop down menu next to the Server Type. Enter smtp.streamyx.com for Outcoming Email Server. You must check the Server Require Authentication and select PLAIN as the type of authentication. Check the Remember Password box if you want the Evolution client to remember your password.

Name your profile and click Forward

Click Apply to save your setting and you are done.

Done!

  1. very nice web site. My English is not so good, so I do not understandt it well, but it seems very good. Thanks

  2. This is a good description but my entry of the data doesn’t work so I’d like to go back (from the desktop) and re-enter the information but I can’t seem to find the way to get there – can you give me a start as to what to click on?

You mean how to edit your account information?

Go to Edit>Preferences. You can always change your login information there.
